غروندبرغ: اليمن لا يزال يشهد أطول فترة هدوء في القتال

قال المبعوث الخاص للأمم المتحدة إلى اليمن هانس غروندبرغ، إن اليمن لا يزال يشهد أطول فترة هدوء في القتال منذ بدء اتفاق الهدنة بين الحكومة اليمنية وجماعة الحوثي في 2 أبريل (نيسان) 2022، على رغم فشل الطرفين في تجديد الاتفاق في أوائل أكتوبر 2022 وأيضاً على رغم الاشتباكات المتفرقة.
ونقل دبلوماسيون بأن غروندبرغ أحاط أعضاء مجلس الأمن بالجهود الدبلوماسية وزياراته المتكررة للمملكة العربية السعودية لـمناقشة التقدم المحرز نحو وقف إطلاق النار الوطني وعملية سياسية شاملة يملكها اليمنيون تحت رعاية الأمم المتحدة، فضلاً عن اجتماعاته مع رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني رشاد العليمي في عدن، وما تلاها من اجتماعات مع المسؤولين العمانيين، وكبير المفاوضين الحوثيين محمد عبد السلام في مسقط.

كما استمع مجلس الأمن إلى إحاطات من مساعدة الأمين العام للشؤون الإنسانية جويس مسويا، ورئيس بعثة الأمم المتحدة لدعم اتفاق الحديدة (أونمها) الجنرال مايكل بيري.
