بعد تشديده على وجوب اتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة لوقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة، أكد وزير الخارجية السعودي الأمير فيصل بن فرحان أن ما يجري في القطاع الآن أشبه بمذبحة لم يسبق لها مثيل.

كما اعتبر ما يحصل غير مبرر تحت أي ذريعة للدفاع عن النفس.

وأعرب عن اختلافه مع موقف أميركا التي استخدمت حق الفيتو ضد مشروع قرار وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، وقال خلال لقاء مع “PBS NewsHour”: لسوء الحظ نرى أن وقف إطلاق النار بات كلمة سيئة، ولا أستطيع أن أفهم ذلك”.

“خيبة أمل”

كما أشار إلى شعوره بخيبة أمل لأن مجلس الأمن لم يتمكن من اتخاذ موقف حازم حيال المسألة.

أتت تلك التصريحات بعدما أجهضت الولايات المتحدة مساء أمس الجمعة أمل مئات الآلاف من الفلسطينيين النازحين والجرحى، الذين تكدسوا في جنوب القطاع المحاصر هرباً من القصف الإسرائيلي العنيف، جراء استخدامها حق الفنقض ضد مشروع قرار في مجلس الأمن الدولي من أجل وقف النار بالقطاع.

ومنذ اندلاع الحرب، لم تتوقف المعارك سوى لفترة سبعة أيام تخللها تبادل أسرى ومعتقلين، والسماح بإدخال بعض المساعدات الإنسانية غير الكافية إلى القطاع.

فيما ارتفعت حصيلة القصف الإسرائيلي على غزة إلى 17487 قتيلا، 70% منهم من الأطفال والنساء.
